McLaren Group is also the holding company for various subsidiaries, including McLaren Racing, McLaren Applied (which specialises in technology and data), and McLaren Automotive.
However, each one of these subsidiaries is a standalone entity with its own employees, directors, and investors.
Despite McLaren Group’s diverse portfolio, it still makes most of its money from selling its wide range of high-end motorsport and supercars, with over 100 dealerships around the globe.
After Ron Dennis acquired the Mclaren F1 team, the company went through a series of share acquisitions that shifted the ownership of the group.

As things stand, the deal didn’t go through and the company isn’t publicly listed to this day.
However, in June 2022, Mumtalakat’s CEO said that McLaren would be ready for an IPO within 2 to 3 years. In other words, while McLaren Group isn’t public yet, this should change in the upcoming years.
